Nicholas Anthony

Sandy's friends Howie and Jill  (first grandchild born with Down's Syndrome). Pray for their daughter Chirsty and son-in-law Rob, as well as the child and the grandparents Howie and Jill. Also, Sandy's friend Debbie dealing with a divorce and custody of her son. Of coarse I will keep you updated on Nicholas. As of today's Dr's appointment, Nicholas gained 11 ounces in only 4 days!!! His doctor says that's "fantastic"! He is thriving so well. He now weighs in at 7 lbs ... 3 ounces and is 3 weeks old!
Also I checked with my daughter and she said you most certainly may post Nicholas' photos to our prayer partners.

This is in response to Nona. But please, please feel free to copy this to all the prayer partners.

Nona, our heartfelt sincere thanks to you and your husband for all those faithful prayers. I want you to know that thanks to people like you we might be in the midst of witnessing a miracle.
You see, Nicholas so far, does not have any characteristics of Down’s Syndrome. All of his systems are above average according to his pediatrician on the "normal" child's chart. He is now, as of today, 11 lbs. 11 ounces. (He was prematurely born 5 lbs. 13 ounces.) He has NO internal abnormalities indicative of Down’s Syndrome. However, it was diagnosed through a blood test resulting positive two separate times. 
The reason the blood work was ordered to begin with was within seconds when he was born, the doctor in the operating room stated she did not like the way his eyes looked. 
He is so alert, recognizing faces and smiling away even before his time. Nicholas while he is smiling at you forms together sounds and coos beyond belief. His physical strength is unbelievable. He even tries to stand up on your lap while holding him, and has an extremely strong grip. We are all so very grateful to the Lord for all these marvelous blessings.
So you see, all of you prayer warriors out there are taking part in something miraculous. We firmly believe that with all of your prayers coupled with all Nicholas' positive progress there is something heavenly happening. Keep cheering him on and let's not lose faith. We need you.
Nona, the Lord has worked a miracle in your great granddaughter’s life we firmly believe that is a message in and of itself to us and for us. 
All of your hearts are pure, full of love and has given our family great comfort beyond words that you would include our little Nicholas in your world. We are touched so very deeply. 
Please, please don't stop praying until at least the time of retesting comes. My daughter and son-in-law are taking him out of state for retesting sometime in or around July.  Update: 04/24/06
