Seth

Sandy: Hello everyone.  I need prayer for a friend in Weirton, WV.  Her son has an Asthma-like medical problem which has been complicated  with an infection in the lungs.  He is 11 and they have no hospitalization insurance for him and no drug coverage.  The doctor gave him meds he needs, but we need the Lord to touch him.  His name is Seth.  Thank you so much.
Update on Seth (03/14/06): This family has been attacked from the Enemy from the grandparents to aunts and their dad, mom and sister.  Seth has been affected from birth with asthma.  We were praying that he would out grow it, but it looks like it will take a healing from the Lord to accomplish that.
Update on Seth and family (06/07/06):
Please pray for a little boy here in Weirton, WV named Seth.  He has a breathing disorder and was life-flighted to the Pittsburgh Children's Hospital with a very high fever.  His paternal grandfather committed suicide just last week and this has left the father shaken, and now this is really gotten him angry.  Please pray for Rob also.  He is a Christian, but at times like these sometimes our faith is challenged.  The maternal grandfather needs prayer also.  Please, Please pray (Sandy).
Update on Seth and family (06/08/06): I e-mailed you all about a little boy here in Weirton named Seth.  He is in Children's Hospital and has viral meningitis as well as encephalitis.  Both are life threatening.  We need urgent prayer as he also has asthma attacks when excited.  They were unable to do an  MRI because of this and are going to attempt to sedate him and do one a 6:00 PM tonight.  Please, please pray for Seth.  He is 11 yrs. old and feels he has been called to preach.  His maternal grandfather is suffering from a neurological disease and is growing more and more weak.  This family has certainly been tried in the fire.  Just keep praying.  Thank you and God Bless you all, Sandy.
Update on Seth (06/16/06): From
Sandy. Hi friends, there is a new update on Seth. He is still a very sick young man, but the count on the kidneys has come down and they feel they are heading toward normal.  He is going to have another spinal tap on Mon. or Wed.  They have to sedate him as he panics and it could throw him into an asthma attack.  They are going to put a port for meds. directly into his heart as this will reach the body quicker, but they told his mother, this will wipe him out and he already has very little strength.  So keep praying and thank you all.

Update on Seth (06/22/06): From Sandy. Hello Everyone,  Great news!  Seth  was released from the hospital today and has astounded everyone at Pittsburgh Children's Hospital.  They could not believe that he recovered so rapidly.  We all know why.  It is our great Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.  Seth had so many prayers going up for him.  We are so thankful, but keep praying, because he has a long recovery ahead of him.  I believe it will be more rapid than the hospital thinks, but that's just my faith is a "Great Big Wonderful God," as the song goes.  Pray for his grandfather Don Allen.  He is still battling the numerological problem.  He needs prayer as much as Seth.  Thanks again for all the prayers thus far and all those to come.

Hank (11/14/06) I was asked by one of the EMFS Prayer Pals if I had heard anything about Seth. I am pleased to provide a praise report on Seth:

Sandy (11/14/06) Update on Seth. Hi Hank, Yes, I am very happy to report that Seth is doing extremely well. He did have a bout with this asthma thing he has, but the children that he attends a Christian school with him, had prayer for him and he was back in school within a few days. His mother was sure it would be at  least 2 weeks before Seth could return to school. The Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. is astounded at his progress. They told his parents that Seth would probably have problems in school and not to push him too hard, but Seth has been in school, except for those few days, and has maintained an A average. We are praising God for all He has done for this family.

I would also ask for prayer for Seth's grandfather, Don. He is in need of prayer. He has a neurological disease and his wife is wanting to find a new doctor for him. Don doesn't seem to be doing well with the one he has. Please pray that their insurance will cover Don possibly going to a clinic in Cleveland.

Thank you for asking about Seth. And tell the one who asked about Seth, that Seth can still use our prayers. God is good—all the time.
